Myrtle Quay, Newton Ferrers, South Devon is a wonderful property nestled on the banks of the River Yealm with stunning views up and down the Yealm estuary. With river access a few minutes drive away, it’s a great spot for water lovers wanting to mess around on the river in kayaks or canoes. Located in the bustling waterside village of Newton Ferrers, Myrtle Quay is within walking distance of the popular pub, The Dolphin and close to local shops.

From the front door enter into the large kitchen area that sweeps around into the dining and living area. The first thing that hits you are the expanse of floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that maximise the river views. Step through these on to the top decking area. With glorious views, it may be difficult to extract yourself to explore any further.
The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of units, large fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and range cooker.
The dining area seats 8 comfortably with the table positioned alongside the windows to enjoy the views.
A large L shaped sofa faces the woodburner, the perfect spot to curl up on a wintry evening.
Also on this floor is a large walk in pantry and a cloakroom.
Down the first flight of stairs and you have 2 bedrooms, one en suite, a family bathroom, utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer plus the snug. This cosy room has a flat screen television and is ideal for the kids to escape to.
The larger of the 2 bedrooms is furnished with zip and link beds so can be used as 2 singles or a king size. The ensuite bedroom has a double bed with the benefit of an attached shower room. Both rooms have sliding glass doors out on to balconies where more river views can be enjoyed and over to Noss Mayo on the other side. The family bathroom has both a bath and large walk in shower.
Down the next set of stairs to the ground floor and there are 2 further bedrooms and a family bathroom. The bedroom to the right is furnished with a zip and twin, allowing for versatility in the sleeping arrangements whilst the other bedroom has a double. Both rooms have glass doors leading out on to decking and then the garden. The bathroom has a walk in shower.
Outside, Myrtle Quay has a large enclosed garden with a bar b que.
There is off road parking for 2 cars and 2 dogs are most welcome at an extra cost.
Myrtle Quay is an idyllic spot to sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of the riverside villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers. From all balconies, river life can be enjoyed in abundance with paddle boarding, kayaking and all manor of boating fun happening right in front of you.
The Dolphin pub is a short walk away down by the river where lots of fun can be had by the quay – a popular spot for crabbing and playing in the water. The convenient Co Op, butchers, pharmacy and post office are a short walk up the hill. Perfect for fresh croissants in the mornings. What’s not to love!
