Hillcott, Newton Ferrers, South Devon, is a pretty stone faced character cottage equipped to a very high standard, with elegant interior design and beautiful furnishings. A place to indulge yourself for a week or two!

Set off the road in the waterside village of Newton Ferrers, South Devon,  just 10 miles from the maritime city of Plymouth but a world away in terms of peace and tranquillity. Just a stone’s throw from the creek, it’s an ideal spot for messing about in or on the water, or enjoying a drink at one of the waterside pubs. As well as local water-side fun, there’s plenty to enjoy nearby. The Warren is a beautiful stretch of coastline, and circular walking routes take you along the coast path and back through ancient woodlands to the centre of neighbouring Noss Mayo. Another hidden gem is the unspoilt beach at Mothecombe. Sheltered and ideal for bathing, the rock pools are a favourite with children looking for all sorts of marine creatures.

Enter through the half glazed stable door and you are immediately struck by the beautiful staircase leading to the first floor - the first example of many delightful features throughout this property.

Turn right into the living room complete with sofa and two easy chairs. A smart television is mounted on the wall and a living flame gas fire completes the peaceful ambience.

Turn left and you are in the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is well-equipped with built in dishwasher, fridge, oven and hob - and there are elegant ornaments and a lovely French dresser which add to the feel of the room.

Both downstairs rooms have window seats overlooking the front garden.

Head upstairs and hanging from the ceiling is the most beautiful unique glass chandelier which just makes you want to stop and admire!

Turn right and you enter the master bedroom beautifully furnished with king size bed, side tables and another amazing lamp shade! There’s an en suite shower room with wc, walk in shower, round stone sink and electric towel rail.

Bedroom two is equally resplendent, with the double bed positioned to allow views through the window whilst lying in the plush bed. A small television, built in cupboard and built in shelf unit complete the room.

The family bathroom with bath and shower over is also on this floor.

Outside is a paved garden with flower borders, a table and chairs. There is off road parking for 2 cars and across the small driveway is an outside toilet room complete with sink and washer/dryer - perfect for washing off dogs (which are welcome here) or for removing sandy beachwear.
