Murcia Province is one of the most beautiful regions of Spain and has
everything to offer for visitors and residents alike. It boasts a
beautiful climate with average temperatures of 18ºC. In the summer
months temperatures can reach up to 40ºC and fall to a pleasant 11ºC
during the winter months.
There are many stunning locations in the province -
beautiful places, set amongst the mountains, and with breath-taking
views. The mountains are filled with wild game and there are
numerous magnificent castles, fortresses, monasteries and convents
to explore.
The quiet sleepy Spanish villages with their friendly,

The cosmopolitan capital, is the
perfect place to enjoy culture, history, shopping and the
nightlife. The province covers an area of 11,317 square
kilometres, bordering Albacete to the north
and west, Alicante to the east, Granada and Almeria to the west and the Mediterranean Sea to the
south-east. The region is made up of the following districts - Cartagena,
Lorca, Lower Guadalentin, Middle Segura Valley, Upper Segura Valley,
Mula River Valley and the Northwest District.
The region has two international airports. The smaller airport at
San Javier is situated on the
Mar Menor, and El Altet airport (usually known as Alicante) is just
a few kilometres outside of the city of Alicante. A new airport to
replace San Javier is currently under construction at Corvera and is
expected to be completed in 2008.
